Our Story
Jara & James met each other at the end of their senior year of High School at a Jack & Jill teen conference while waiting for the elevator.
James was star-struck because he thought Jara was the prettiest woman he had ever seen and quickly introduced himself. Though their love story didn’t start, their seed was for sure planted.
Jara went on to attend Brown University while James attended Howard University. During their time in college James would always try and invite Jara via Facebook or text message to parties he was hosting. She never attended those parties, but she always replied to him, leaving the window of communication open.

The time finally came in the fall of 2016, James & Jara got a chance to reconnect, and it was magical. James looked at Jara the same way he looked at her the first time he met her when he was 17 and felt the same magic. James & Jara were like magnets and fell in love instantly. Their love has traveled from country to country, city to city, and friends and family love the energy they give off. James & Jara’s love story is special and they look forward to continuing to write more of their fairytale for years and years to come.

After Jara & James both graduated and were starting their professional lives, Jara informed James (after he randomly texted her to invite her to some party he was hosting of-course) that she would be in DC for a month working at the Howard University Hospital as she was preparing to graduate from med school, and gearing up for residency training in the ophthalmology field.
James was delighted to hear the good news and got excited to possibly have a chance to actually hang out with Jara.
